The resulting effect is a lamp with different hues and shades sometimes within the same leaf. Artisans adhere the stained leaves to a heat resistant backing and use a strong sealant to ensure the beauty stability and integrity of the shade. The Gecko wall sconce lamp is wrapped in abaca twine with the feet and tip of the tail exposed giving the lamp definition and contrast.
